The Tavor 8 Sub is a powered subwoofer designed to reproduce low-range audio frequencies with controlled bass extension and flexible placement options. It features an 8in aluminum woofer and a built-in amplifier to provide consistent low-frequency reinforcement. The unit supports wall or floor mounting and a design that can conceal the control panel for clean installations.
Key features include a selectable crossover adjustable between 65Hz and 150Hz, a phase selector with 0 or 180 degree settings, and an optional auto standby mode to reduce power draw when idle. The amplifier is rated at 50W RMS with 140W continuous program power to handle dynamic program material. Physical controls include a volume knob, crossover control, and phase switch for quick onsite tuning.
Performance specifications offer a frequency response of 30Hz to 600Hz at -10dB and a tighter 45Hz to 350Hz at +/-3dB for useful low-frequency output. Sensitivity is 95dB SPL at 1W/1m and maximum SPL reaches 108dB continuous and 114dB peak. The 8in (203mm) aluminum cone with rubber surround is selected for stiffness and controlled excursion.
Connectivity includes an LFE RCA input, stereo line-level RCA inputs and two high-level binding post inputs that allow bypassing the internal amplifier for external amplification. The selectable power source accommodates 110-120V AC 60Hz or 220-240V AC 50Hz mains. Controls and connectors are laid out to support simple integration with existing AV and audio systems.
