The SX42HU-N is a 4×2 HDMI mini-matrix KVM switcher designed to let users view and control up to four computers across two HDMI consoles. It consolidates keyboard, video, mouse, USB 3.0 peripherals, analog speaker and microphone I/O into a single compact device. The unit preserves electrical isolation between connected systems while enabling seamless peripheral sharing and control.
Key features include dual HDMI console outputs, four computer inputs, four USB 3.0 Type A console ports and USB Type B computer ports for KVM connectivity. The switch supports copy and paste and file transfer between connected computers via the KVM path without any network dependency. Local analog audio I/O and microphone jacks provide aggregated audio support for both console displays.
Video handling supports UHD 4K resolutions up to 3840×2160 at 30 Hz on the HDMI console outputs and standard DVI dual-link resolutions when using adapters. The device routes video and USB 3.0 data while maintaining low-latency switching and accurate EDID handling for connected displays. Power consumption is rated at 35W max with universal 100 to 240V AC input via an external power supply.
Connectivity includes two HDMI console outputs, one HDMI computer input per source, four USB Type A ports at the console for peripherals and USB Type B connections per computer. Analog 3.5 mm speaker and microphone jacks are available at both console and computer sides. The SX42HU-N is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux hosts and supports standard USB HID keyboards and mice.
The SX42HU-N is suited to meeting rooms, control centers and presentation environments where multiple computers must be displayed and controlled concurrently. It enables presenters or operators to show host and guest systems simultaneously on separate monitors while using a single set of peripherals. The built-in copy/paste transfer feature streamlines workflow between isolated systems without requiring network file shares.
Installation is straightforward with a compact 342 x 148 x 42 mm chassis that fits on a desktop or in small AV racks. The unit operates reliably in standard indoor environments from 0 to 40 degrees C and stores safely at -20 to 60 degrees C.
