The SWT3-31-HU-TR is an HDBaseT-enabled HDMI/USB-C switcher extender designed to extend and switch AV and USB signals over twisted-pair infrastructure. It combines USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode input, dual HDMI inputs, HDMI output and HDBaseT 3.0 extension to deliver 4K60 4:4:4 video, multi-channel audio and device control. The unit supports integrated USB host switching to share cameras and microphones between local and remote systems.
Key features include HDCP 2.3 compliant HDMI switching, USB 2.0 extension, bidirectional RS-232 and IR, and Ethernet extension to 1 Gbps. The device supports USB-C power delivery up to 60W when using the 20V adapter, and offers HDMI mirroring from the transmitter to a local monitor. Intelligent EDID handling and auto-switching simplify source selection and Plug and Play operation.
Performance is engineered for demanding AV workflows with an 18 Gbps HDMI data rate and support for HDMI 2.0b features such as deep color, HDR and 3D. Video extension reach is up to 100m (330ft) over HDBaseT-compliant twisted pair cabling. Audio is carried uncompressed with up to 32 channels and an analog de-embedded balanced stereo output for integration with professional audio systems.
Connectivity covers a broad range of AV and control ports including USB-C, HDMI, HDBaseT RJ-45, USB 3.2 host and device ports, RS-232 terminal block, IR mini-jack and GPIO. Networked devices can use 1 Gbps Ethernet extension and the unit supports 802.1x authentication for secure LAN integration. Built-in control via IP, CEC, RS-232, IR or contact closure enables centralized management without an external gateway.
Typical applications include conference rooms and classrooms where switching between BYOD presenters and dedicated room devices is required, as well as AV systems needing long-reach HDBaseT extension while preserving USB peripheral access. The active USB host switching enables hybrid meeting workflows by sharing room cameras and mics with remote meeting platforms. The HDMI mirroring and local HDMI output support local displays and daisy chaining.
The compact 0.5U half-rack aluminum enclosure supports under-table or ceiling mounting and side-by-side 1U rack mounting with an adapter. Power options include the supplied 20VDC adapter and selectable PoE powering via LAN or HDBaseT ports, reducing cabling complexity. Remote firmware upgrade, LED status indicators and a fan-ventilated design ensure manageable installation and maintenance.
