The SWT3-21-HU-TR is an HDBaseT-enabled switcher and extender that combines USB-C and HDMI inputs with HDMI output and a configurable HDBaseT 3.0 port. It routes 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video, USB 2.0, RS-232, IR and I/O signals over a single twisted-pair cable up to 40m. This compact unit supports mirrored HDMI output for local monitoring and can be deployed at either the source or display end.
The unit features automatic source switching between USB-C and HDMI inputs and supports an active USB host that can be switched between local and remote peripherals. It supports USB-C DP Alt Mode and PD charging up to 60W when used with a PD3.0 source, and extends USB 2.0 devices such as cameras and audio peripherals. Audio de-embedding provides a balanced stereo analog output for connection to DSPs or professional audio systems.
Video performance includes HDMI 2.0b features, HDCP 2.3 compliance, HDR, deep color and support for up to 32 audio channels. The extender uses HDBaseT 3.0 standard for long-reach copper extension and supports up to 18 Gbps HDMI bandwidth. Ethernet, RS-232 and IR are carried bidirectionally, enabling control and network access across the extension link.
Connectivity includes one USB-C DP Alt Mode/PD input, one HDMI input, mirrored HDMI output, and an HDBaseT RJ-45 port configurable as transmitter or receiver. Integrated USB 3.2 hubs and USB-B/USB-A connectors provide host and device connections; the USB extension carries USB 2.0 signals up to 300 Mbps. Control options include IP, RS-232, IR and contact-closure I/O with local panel buttons and embedded web management.
The SWT3-21-HU-TR is suited to enterprise and education environments where blended local and remote conferencing is required. It enables simple BYOD workflows by allowing a presenter to connect via a single USB-C cable that carries video, USB and Ethernet while optionally charging the device. The configurable auto-switching and built-in intelligent control gateway simplify integration with room control systems and meeting platforms.
Installation is streamlined by the field-programmable transmitter/receiver role, compact aluminum enclosure and fan ventilation for sustained operation. Remote firmware upgrade and embedded web pages support centralized management and troubleshooting. The unit meets CE and UL safety standards and environmental directives including RoHS and WEEE.
