The SW-120-TX3-US is an in-wall HDBaseT 3.0 switching transmitter designed to deliver uncompressed 4K60 video and USB-C connectivity over a single category cable. It provides two selectable inputs and seamless switching to a remote HDBaseT receiver. The unit is optimized for clean integration into education and corporate AV installations.
The transmitter supports two source inputs – HDMI and USB-C – with automatic or manual switching and CEC power trigger capability. It also supports USB host passthrough and a separate analog audio lane for de-embedded audio. USB-C power delivery up to 60W is provided for compatible devices when used with an appropriate PSU.
Performance is built around HDBaseT 3.0 which raises bandwidth to support up to 18Gbps and 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 8-bit uncompressed transmission over a single cable up to 100m. The unit supports a maximum pixel clock of 600MHz and compatibility with HDR formats including HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG. HDCP 2.3 support ensures compatibility with current 4K UHD sources.
Connectivity includes a 19-pin Type A HDMI input, USB-C with Alt Mode and host functionality, a USB Type-B host port, analog 3.5mm line in, and bidirectional RS-232 on a 3-pin phoenix connector. The HDBaseT output uses an 8-pin RJ45 and supports HDMI, USB, EDID, CEC and bidirectional RS-232 over the link. USB 2.0 passthrough is supported up to 300Mbps.
Typical applications include higher education lecture halls, corporate boardrooms and distributed AV classrooms where local source switching and centralized receiving are required. The transmitter is suitable for installations that need audio de-embed, USB HID extension, and laptop charging over USB-C. It also supports legacy compatibility with HDBaseT 1.0 receivers where required.
Installation is simplified by the in-wall form factor and a shared RS-232 port that can function as API control or passthrough to the receiver. The unit supports PoH bidirectionally and can either power or be powered by the receiver.
