Description
The SW-120-TX3 is an HDBaseT 3.0 switching transmitter designed to switch two high-resolution sources and deliver uncompressed AV over a single category cable. It combines HDMI and USB-C inputs, USB host support, and a dedicated HDBaseT output to extend 4K60Hz 4:4:4 content up to long distances. The unit also supports power delivery to connected USB-C devices providing up to 60 watts of charging.
This transmitter supports automatic or manual switching between HDMI and USB-C sources and offers CEC trigger signaling to simplify system control and source power on/off behaviors. It includes USB 2.0 host passthrough for HID devices and three local USB device ports to support multiple peripherals simultaneously. The device also supports source audio de-embed and a separate analog audio pass-through lane for independent audio routing.
Performance specifications include a 600MHz pixel clock and support for 3840×2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit and 1920x1080p@60Hz 12bit resolutions. The SW-120-TX3 supports HDR formats including HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG and complies with BT.2020 and BT.2100 color spaces. HDCP 2.3 support ensures compatibility with the latest protected 4K UHD sources.
Connectivity is comprehensive, featuring 1x HDMI Type A input, 1x USB-C input supporting Alt Mode, 3x USB Type-A device ports, 1x USB Type-B host, 1x line-in 3.5mm stereo, and a shared RS-232 3-pin Phoenix port. The HDBaseT output carries HDMI, USB, bidirectional RS-232, EDID, HDCP 2.3 and bidirectional PoH. Local analog audio out and RS-232 passthrough are also provided to integrate with room audio systems and control processors.
The SW-120-TX3 is suitable for lecture halls, classrooms, and corporate meeting spaces where switching between presenter laptops and USB-C devices is common. It supports USB-C charging and USB HID device passthrough, enabling touch panels, keyboards, mice and other peripherals to be extended and controlled remotely. CEC trigger and API-driven routing simplify automation in integrated AV systems.
Installation is straightforward with standard mounting brackets and a compact in-wall friendly chassis designed for rack or wall-mount installations. The transmitter supports bidirectional PoH and can either power the receiver or draw power from it when configured.
