Description
The SP-0108-SCL is a compact 1×8 HDMI splitter designed to distribute a single HDMI source to up to eight displays while preserving HDR and advanced color formats. It provides per-output scaling so mixed-resolution displays can present consistent imagery without manual conversion. The unit also de-embeds audio for external audio distribution and DSP integration.
Each HDMI output includes a 4K to 1080p down scaler that can be configured independently via dipswitch or API. The splitter supports advanced EDID management with 16 pre-loaded EDIDs and a custom EDID upload option to ensure display compatibility. CEC triggering can be sent automatically on signal presence or via API to power compatible displays.
Internally the SP-0108-SCL passes uncompressed 18Gbps HDMI signals to maintain high-bandwidth video and audio fidelity. Supported resolutions include up to 3840x2160p at 60Hz with HDR10/10+ and Dolby Vision handling as specified. End-to-end latency is negligible, making the unit suitable for synchronized multi-screen playback.
Connectivity includes one HDMI input and eight HDMI outputs using 19-pin Type A connectors, plus a 3-pin Phoenix connector and S/PDIF for analog/digital audio de-embed. Control options include RS-232 via a 3-pin Phoenix terminal and an API for automation, while HDCP 2.2 support handles protected content. Power is supplied by a 12V DC adapter and the unit supports standard installation accessories.
The SP-0108-SCL is well suited to retail video walls, digital signage chains, education AV systems, and hospitality displays where consistent image presentation and centralized audio zones are required. Mixed-brand display walls benefit from the per-output downscalers and robust EDID options to avoid handshake conflicts. Installers can simplify deployment by using the CEC trigger and EDID copy functions from the front panel.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the unit’s compact chassis and included mounting brackets that allow local, discreet placement.
