The SM20N-N is a 2-port keyboard and mouse (KM) switcher designed to let operators share a single set of peripherals across two isolated host computers. It provides real-time KM interaction while preserving electrical isolation between hosts and connected devices – the device maintains separate displays per computer and consolidates control peripherals. The design reduces the need to provision dedicated peripheral sets for each machine.
The SM20N-N supports copy and paste text transfer between connected computers using standard keyboard or mouse copy commands. Key features include USB keyboard and mouse I/O, 3.5 mm stereo audio and microphone jacks, and isolated host ports to maintain security boundaries. The unit implements secure peripheral sharing without requiring a network connection between hosts for text transfers.
From a technical perspective the SM20N-N is a two-source KM switcher supporting USB Type A console ports and USB Type B host ports, plus 3.5 mm audio and microphone jacks. It operates across 0 to 40 degrees C and stores from -20 to 60 degrees C and supports Windows, Linux and macOS for driver and interoperability needs.
