The SI-1230 Series 2 is a 12-channel configurable power amplifier designed to drive multiple speaker zones with consistent audio level and clarity. It supplies 30 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 40 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms when all channels are driven. The amplifier uses a digital power transformer design to maintain dynamic headroom and stable operation across all outputs.
Key features include a unique BusMatrix selector that lets each channel choose Left Bus, Right Bus, Left Plus Right Bus (summed stereo), or its dedicated input. Adjacent channels are bridgable to deliver up to 80 watts RMS into an 8 ohm load, providing flexible power configurations. The unit also offers three turn-on modes – music sense, voltage trigger, and manual – for automated or manual control.
Performance-focused audio circuitry employs 1% metal film resistors, high-quality capacitors, and oversized heat sinks to reduce coloration and preserve transient response. The SI-1230 Series 2 leverages a digital power transformer to provide tight, controlled bass and reliable output under multi-channel loads. Independent level controls for all 12 channels allow precise level matching and system tuning.
Connectivity and control include a voltage trigger input that accepts 3-24 VAC/DC, a 12-volt control output, and a removable line cord for regional serviceability.
