It is engineered to deliver full-range sound across walls and ceilings by turning the mounting surface into a uniform radiating plane. SolidDrive dual-voice coil technology and symmetrically opposed motors provide balanced planar excitation across a broad frequency range. The aluminum enclosure houses high-powered neodymium magnets that maximize coupling efficiency to substrates. The result is broad, even sound radiation from the entire treated surface rather than a single point source.
Performance spans 70 Hz to 15 kHz ensuring clear midrange and articulate highs for music and spoken word. Each SD-1-T is rated for one audio channel and can be paired with an optional 10 W transformer for line-voltage distributed systems.
