The RU-VA2 is a compact dual-channel BNC video attenuator designed to reduce excessive video levels and prevent input overload artifacts. It provides passive, isolated attenuation on two independent channels and fits a high-density 1/3 rack width. The unit is intended to sit in a rack or be mounted to a surface for ready access to level control.
Each channel includes a single input BNC and a matched output intended for a 75 Ohm terminated load, and a front-panel knob provides continuous level adjustment. The attenuators are passive and require no external power, maintaining signal integrity while reducing levels as required. One attenuator can reduce a signal down to half the incoming level and can be set to the normal 1 Vp-p video level.
