The RU-NL4P is a Dante network audio interface that converts four Dante audio channels to professional balanced line-level outputs. It is designed for commercial and industrial installations where reliable digital-to-analog conversion and consistent audio levels are required. The unit accepts Dante over Ethernet and provides four removable terminal-block balanced outputs at +4 dBu nominal.
Key features include 24-bit high-resolution digital-to-analog conversion, LED indicators for each Dante channel, and low-noise analog filtering. The module delivers professional line-level outputs that align -18 dBFS to +4 dBu and maintains more than 18 dB of headroom to preserve transient dynamics. Outputs mute automatically when digital inputs are inactive to prevent unwanted noise in downstream equipment.
Performance specifications emphasize audio fidelity and low distortion. The RU-NL4P supports 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sample rates and uses high-resolution 24-bit conversion. THD+N is specified under 0.05% and the noise floor is specified at better than -80 dB when outputs are active and below -95 dB when muted, ensuring transparent audio reproduction.
Connectivity is provided via an RJ45 network connector supporting Dante at 100 Mbps with link and speed indicators. Four balanced outputs are provided on a detachable terminal block for secure wiring to mixers, amplifiers, and processors. Front-panel LEDs show per-channel signal activity and network sync status to assist local setup without a networked computer present.
The RU-NL4P is suited to distributed audio systems in conference rooms, houses of worship, broadcast plants, and commercial AV installations where Dante networks are used. It provides efficient conversion from networked sources to conventional line-level inputs for amplifiers, matrix mixers, and recording devices. The compact chassis allows placement in racks, closets, furniture, or on backboards as required by the installation.
Installation and power management are simplified through PoE support and optional 24 Vdc external power. The RU-NL4P will operate from PoE Class 0 IEEE 802.3af or from a 24 Vdc external supply and will seamlessly transition between sources if the external supply is removed. The all-metal enclosure and rack-compatible footprint are engineered for continuous duty and long-term reliability.
