The RU-NL2 is a Dante network audio interface that converts two networked audio channels to professional analog line-level outputs. It provides balanced +4 dBu outputs at a network reference of -18 dBFS. The unit is packaged in an all-metal enclosure for rack or surface mounting and continuous duty operation.
The module delivers dual balanced outputs with 24-bit digital-to-analog conversion and high-resolution performance. Each channel offers better than 18 dB of headroom above nominal level and crosstalk below the noise floor. Front-panel variable-intensity LEDs display received audio level for each Dante input to aid local setup.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (± 0.5 dB), THD+N under 0.05%, and noise floor below -80 dB when outputs are active. The unit supports 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sample rates and operates over a 100 Mbps Ethernet link. Outputs mute automatically when digital inputs are inactive for clean system behavior.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 network connector with link and speed indicators and two balanced detachable terminal-block outputs. Power is supplied by an external 24 Vdc source (sold separately) and a PoE-capable variant RU-NL2P supports Class 0 IEEE 802.3af PoE. Indicators show network sync status, Ethernet link/speed, power, and audio signal activity.
The RU-NL2 is suited to fixed installations such as equipment racks, closets, conference furniture, and backboards in commercial AV systems. It integrates directly with professional mixers, amplifiers, and line-level inputs without additional gain. The compact footprint and mounting options simplify deployment in constrained rack or shelf spaces.
Installation is straightforward with detachable terminal blocks, a single RJ45 network port, and clear front-panel LEDs for signal verification.
