The RU-ADL2 is a DSP-based dual-output audio delay module designed to delay a single analog monaural source and provide two independently delayed monaural outputs. It delivers low-noise studio-quality performance for timing alignment and cueing tasks. The unit stores delay values in non-volatile memory so settings are retained after power interruptions.
Each output delay is independently adjustable from 0 to 135 ms in 1 ms steps using front-panel keyboard-style pushbuttons. A locking pushbutton selects which output is displayed and adjusted on the large three-digit LED numeric display. A front-panel LOCKOUT allows bypass of the DSP delay without erasing stored delay settings.
Audio performance is optimized for professional environments with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.5 dB and THD+N under 0.05%. Nominal input and output levels are +4 dBu and output impedance is 150 ohms balanced. Residual noise is below -30 dB referenced to +4 dBu output and headroom exceeds 18 dB.
Connectivity includes XLR connectors and full-sized rear barrier-block terminals for input and output wiring. Rear terminals also provide full remote control including a LOCKOUT terminal to disable front-panel adjustments. The INPUT GAIN control provides up to 16 dB of gain and a dual-LED VU meter indicates level with green and red LEDs referenced to +4 dBu.
The RU-ADL2 accepts ground-referenced 24 VDC power at 275 mA via a rear power jack or barrier-block terminals. Output levels are fixed at nominal unity gain and multiple RU-ADL2 units may be paralleled at the input to provide additional delayed outputs. The module operates reliably in ambient temperatures from 0 C to 50 C.
Its compact rack-friendly footprint and durable controls simplify installation and field adjustment. Front-panel pushbuttons include ramped repeat when held for fast coarse adjustment followed by fine increments for precise settings. The unit’s robust DSP, reliable memory, and RDL Sure-Lok supervision provide dependable operation in live sound and broadcast systems.
