The RS600i is a 6.5-inch coaxial open-ceiling speaker designed to deliver clear full-range audio in distributed audio and background music installations. It combines a polypropylene woofer and a convex titanium tweeter mounted on a cast-aluminum baffle to provide reliable two-way performance. The compact open-ceiling enclosure and low-profile grille maintain discreet aesthetics while providing extended low frequency output.
Key acoustic features include SoundTube’s BroadBeam waveguide tweeter system and a ported enclosure that improves low-end response. The speaker offers consistent 100 degree coverage averaged across 2-10 kHz, ensuring even edge-to-edge intelligibility in open spaces. Weatherized components and a steel powder-coated grille extend durability in indoor and protected outdoor environments.
Technically, the RS600i shows a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, 88.5 dB sensitivity, and a usable response of 85 Hz to 17 kHz (-3 dB). Maximum continuous power is 90 W RMS with 180 W program capability and a maximum SPL of 108 dB at 1 meter. The crossover is set at 3.0 kHz using 12 dB/octave second-order networks for both low-pass and high-pass sections.
Connectivity includes a four-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock input for individual or daisy-chain runs and a six-position rotary tap selector that supports 25 V, 70.7 V, 100 V systems and a transformer bypass position. Hanging hardware is included with galvanized steel cable and an integrated SpeedClamp self-locking cable grip for secure installations. The speaker also ships with a terminal weather boot to help maintain outdoor-rated connections.
The RS600i is well suited to retail spaces, restaurants, hospitality, educational facilities and covered outdoor areas where consistent coverage and speech intelligibility are required. Its BroadBeam dispersion and controlled directivity maintain balanced coverage across ceilings and open-plan rooms. The unit meets UL 1480 and UL 2239 listings and RoHS and CE approvals, supporting code-compliant installations.
Installation is simplified by the included hanging hardware, Euroblock connector and a compact open-ceiling form factor that reduces visible intrusion.
