The RS1001i-II-T is a 10in open-ceiling subwoofer designed to extend low-frequency output in installed sound systems. It combines a tuned, ported enclosure with a 10in polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround to deliver controlled bass extension and high SPL. The unit is intended for indoor and covered outdoor installations that require deep low-frequency reinforcement.
Key features include a reinforced baffle-mounted 10in woofer, flared tuned ports for maximum efficiency, and an accentuated 70Hz output peak to enhance perceived bass. The loudspeaker offers a 150W low-loss transformer with a five-position tap switch for 25V / 70.7V / 100V operation plus a transformer bypass position. Weatherized components such as a powder-coated steel grille and ABS enclosure increase reliability in exposed environments.
Performance is specified as 53Hz to 175Hz at -3dB and 38Hz to 450Hz at -10dB (independently verified), with a sensitivity of 86.0 dB at 2.83V/1m and a maximum SPL of 105 dB. Nominal impedance is 4 ohm and the unit supports 150W RMS continuous power and 300W program power. The low-pass network is a 6 dB/octave first-order design optimized for subwoofer integration.
Connectivity is handled via a four-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock for individual or daisy-chain wiring and includes a five-position rotary tap selector for distributed-line systems. The transformer bypass position permits direct low-impedance connection to an amplifier when required. High-quality UL listed cables and an integrated SpeedClamp self-locking wire clamp are included for secure suspension wiring.
Typical applications include background and foreground music reinforcement in retail, hospitality, conference areas, and houses of worship where extended low-frequency response is needed without large enclosure footprints. The RS1001i-II-T is suitable as a dedicated subwoofer paired with ceiling or pendant full-range speakers to achieve balanced low-end performance. Its accentuated low-frequency output helps deliver perceived punch in speech and music program material.
Installation is simplified by included UL-listed hanging hardware, a SpeedClamp wire clamp and a removable terminal weather boot for outdoor-exposed terminations. The injection-molded glass-fiber reinforced ABS enclosure and powder-coated grille resist corrosion and mechanical wear. Optional surface-mount bracket AC-RS-SM8 is available for installations that require surface mounting rather than hanging.
