The RS1001i is a 10 inch open-ceiling subwoofer engineered to deliver powerful low-frequency reinforcement in both indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. It is designed for use in distributed audio and fixed-install systems where extended bass performance and high output are required. The enclosure provides a tuned, ported response optimized for maximum low-frequency output.
Key features include a 10 inch polypropylene cone driver with a butyl rubber surround, a reinforced baffle and flared tuned ports that improve efficiency and LF extension. The RS1001i incorporates a 150 watt low-loss transformer with a five-position tap switch supporting 25V / 70.7V / 100V and a transformer bypass position. Weatherized components, a powder-coated steel grille and a durable injection-molded ABS enclosure support protected indoor/outdoor installations.
On-axis performance delivers a measured frequency response of 53 Hz to 175 Hz at -3 dB and a -10 dB band of 38 Hz to 450 Hz, with a maximum SPL of 105 dB at 1 meter. Nominal impedance is 4 ohm, sensitivity is 86.0 dB at 2.83 V / 1 m and the driver uses a 35 mm voice coil for reliable power handling. Power ratings include 150 W continuous RMS and a 300 W program power capability, allowing the RS1001i to reproduce deep bass at high levels.
Connectivity is handled via a four-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock that supports individual or daisy-chain connections and an accessible tap selector for transformer taps or bypass. Installer-friendly features include integrated SpeedClamp self-locking wire clamp and UL listed hanging hardware for fast and secure suspension. An optional surface-mount bracket is available for applications requiring external mounting.
The RS1001i is appropriate for applications requiring focused sub-bass reinforcement such as restaurants, retail spaces, houses of worship and corporate AV systems. It is well suited to complement full-range ceiling or wall loudspeakers where additional LF headroom is needed. When combined with proper crossover settings or active DSP, the RS1001i improves overall system dynamics and listener experience.
Installation is simplified by the included mounting provisions and robust mechanical design that withstands typical commercial installation environments. The unit carries UL 1480 (UEAY) and UL 2239 approvals for hanging hardware plus CE and RoHS compliance for international projects.
