The RMC-2P is a 3-channel PTZ camera controller designed to give operators direct tactile control over multiple cameras. It provides smooth pan, tilt and zoom via a 3-axis joystick and stores preset positions for rapid recall. The controller supports Power over Ethernet to reduce cabling and simplify installations.
Key features include a responsive 3-axis joystick, support for up to three cameras, and four programmable presets per camera. The unit implements Datavideo DVIP protocol for advanced camera functions and supports firmware updates via USB. An aluminum base plate with anti-slip pads and a built-in magnet improves stability during operation.
Technically the RMC-2P controls cameras over Ethernet and supports 10/100Mbps connections. Input and output options include a USB 2.0 port for peripheral connectivity and firmware management. Power can be supplied by DC 5V or via IEEE 802.3af PoE, and power consumption is specified at 8W when using DC power.
Connectivity and compatibility are straightforward – the controller connects to PTZ cameras using Ethernet and communicates using Datavideo DVIP. It is compatible with Datavideo touch panels such as the TPC-700P and the iCAST mini via USB. The device is intended to integrate into existing networked AV environments and presentation switcher workflows.
Typical applications include live event production, corporate presentations, houses of worship and education where multiple PTZ cameras require coordinated control. The RMC-2P speeds shot recall and framing through stored presets and allows a single operator to manage three cameras concurrently. Its joystick control provides the precision needed for broadcast and streaming environments.
Installation is simplified by PoE support and a compact footprint measuring 134x169x97mm. The aluminum base plate secures the unit on desktop surfaces and the USB-C to A cable provides a simple connection to compatible touch panels.
