The RE3-ACC-RFAMP is a 10dB active RF antenna booster designed to restore RF level lost before a coaxial run in wireless microphone and receiver systems. It operates across a broad 470-960 MHz band to cover common UHF wireless allocations. This compact module enables remote mounting of a receiver antenna while minimizing signal loss over long cable runs.
Key features include a 10dB booster stage, BNC input and output connectors, and 12V DC booster feed pass-through. The unit accepts +8 to +12V DC and can be powered through compatible receiver or splitter booster feeds. Its pass-through design permits cascading two modules or combining the unit with active log-periodic antennas for extended range.
Performance specifications include a carrier frequency range of 470-960 MHz and a booster gain of 10dB ±2dB. The built-in antenna has 1.8dBi nominal gain and a 360 degree coverage pattern to preserve omni-directional reception. The RFAMP is rated for indoor or outdoor use but is not waterproof, so environmental placement should avoid direct exposure to water.
Connectivity is provided by BNC RF connectors for simple integration into existing wireless racks and distribution systems. The module is compatible with Electro-Voice RE3-RX receiver booster feed power and the AASP active antenna splitter. It also passes 12V DC to downstream devices, supporting remote antenna arrangements and cascaded gain stages.
Typical applications include live sound reinforcement, broadcast ENG, houses of worship, and rental systems where antenna placement and cable loss require compensation. The RFAMP helps maintain reliable RF levels at the receiver end when long coax runs or lossy cables are unavoidable.
