The Soundsphere Q-6 is a compact weatherproof coaxial loudspeaker designed to deliver clear voice announcements and full-range music in indoor and outdoor installations. It provides broad, even coverage using a 6-1/2 inch coaxial driver and proprietary dispersion design. The unit ships fully assembled and ready to mount for quick deployment.
The Q-6 offers hemispherical coverage to cover large areas with fewer loudspeakers and maintain consistent intelligibility across the listening space. The design emphasizes accurate voice reproduction and extended high-frequency response for music. Onboard amplification is available in the Q-6 Power2 model, removing the need for a separate amplifier in single-speaker coverage applications.
Performance highlights include a sensitivity of 90 dB @ 1 W/1 m and a maximum continuous RMS power rating of 35 W for dependable output. Frequency response is specified as 220 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB) and 70 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), with a maximum continuous peak power of 70 W and a maximum SPL of 105.5 dB at 1 m. Coverage is broad with an average of 175 degrees from 500 Hz to 10 kHz and controlled high-frequency dispersion.
Connectivity is via hard-wire leads for reliable, permanent installations and an optional 30 W line-matching transformer is available for use on distributed speaker lines. The enclosure and reflector are molded from structural foam polystyrene with rustproof hardware to withstand year-round exposure to the elements. Standard finish is paintable white and custom colors are available for aesthetic matching.
The Q-6 is suited to background music and paging in environments such as outdoor dining, pool areas, retail courtyards, and indoor atriums where uniform coverage and speech clarity are required. Its hemispherical pattern reduces the number of units needed to cover open areas, helping lower system complexity. The speaker also integrates with existing audio systems when used with standard low-impedance amplifiers or the optional onboard amplifier variant.
Installation is straightforward – the speaker arrives fully assembled and can be hung or surface mounted using Soundsphere mounting accessories. The rugged enclosure and rustproof hardware provide long-term reliability in exposed installations.
