The Pyro 5 Video Transmission and Monitoring Kit is a wireless transceiver monitor solution combining a 5.5-inch daylight-viewable touchscreen monitor with Pyro S transmitter and receiver units. It is designed to deliver low-latency wireless video monitoring and signal distribution on location. The system supports on-board recording and live streaming to common platforms.
The system supports a broadcast mode that allows one transmitter to connect to up to four receivers and two mobile devices depending on mode. It uses dual-band 2.4/5 GHz automatic dual-band hopping and frequency hopping to reduce interference and maintain stable links. The monitor offers a 1500 nits 1920 x 1080 display and an L-series battery plate for run-time flexibility.
Performance is tuned for professional workflows with two transmission modes: HD mode for a stable high bit rate up to 12 Mb/s and Smooth mode for reduced latency over longer distances. Line-of-sight wireless range is up to 1312 ft and latency can be as low as 60 ms in Smooth mode. Proxy and MP4 file recording are supported to SD for review, LUT export, and timecode-tagged workflows.
Connectivity includes HDMI and SDI video I/O, HDMI loop output, USB-C for power and UVC operation on compatible Pyro S units, RP-SMA antenna ports, a barrel DC input, and a 3.5 mm headphone output. The monitor supports image tools such as waveform, false color, focus assist and zebra and can apply LUTs during export. Smart Channel Selection and preset grouping simplify multi-camera setups and source switching.
This kit is suited to field production, ENG, multicamera shoots, and live streaming scenarios where low latency and flexible monitoring are required. RTMP streaming enables direct delivery to platforms such as YouTube Live and Twitch and UVC support on the transmitter/receiver enables plug-and-play capture to computers. The compact monitor, paddle antennas and multiple mounting points support handheld, rig and tripod workflows.
Setup is streamlined through preset grouping, shortcut keys and a bright touchscreen interface, and the included hood, tempered glass and handle improve operational durability on set. Power options include the L-series battery plate, USB-C and barrel DC input to match common production power sources.
