The PTR-15 is a 4K robotic pan-tilt head designed to convert fixed cameras into remotely controllable broadcast heads. It provides precise pan and tilt motion control and integrates virtual tracking via FreeD for studio and live production environments. The PTR-15 supports 4K50/60 video over 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 to maintain high-quality video signals.
Key features include smooth robotic pan and tilt motion, a maximum payload capacity of 4 kg, and support for camera parameter control such as iris and zoom. The unit supports genlock and timecode synchronization to ensure frame-accurate multi-camera workflows. FreeD virtual tracking and an optional zoom encoder add lens position data for virtual studio and AR/VR integration.
Performance specifications include pan range of 340 degrees and tilt range of plus or minus 45 degrees with adjustable speeds from 0.12 to 15 degrees per second for pan and 0.06 to 10 degrees per second for tilt. The PTR-15 stores up to 199 preset positions for rapid recall. It supports common broadcast frame rates including 2160p 60/59.94/50 and downscaled HD outputs.
Connectivity is comprehensive with dual 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI 2.0 outputs, RS-232, RS-422, DVIP Ethernet, LANc, LANC, tally and IR control. Control options include VISCA protocol, Datavideo RMC controllers, SHOWCAST 100 and serial or IP-based control. Power outputs provide selectable 12V or 24V D-Tap/DC options for a wide range of cameras.
The PTR-15 is well suited to studios, lecture capture, worship, and multi-camera broadcast setups where a single operator must manage multiple cameras remotely. FreeD support and lens encoder options enable seamless integration into virtual sets and live graphics systems. The head’s precise movement and preset recall simplify complex camera moves and repeatable productions.
Built from aluminum alloy, the PTR-15 weighs 3.7 kg and delivers a rugged but lightweight platform for professional camcorders and cinema cameras up to 4 kg.
