The PTC-305 NDI HX PTZ camera delivers 4K60 video capture and automated subject tracking for live production and presentation capture. This camera is built to maintain consistent framing through automatic pan, tilt, and zoom adjustments – supporting full-body, half-body, and close-up compositions. It is intended for broadcast, corporate, education, and house-of-worship environments that require reliable tracking and high-resolution output.
Key features include NDI HX network streaming, H.264/H.265 encoding, HDMI 2.0 4K60 output, and a 3G-SDI output for 1080p workflows. The camera also integrates a 20x optical zoom plus 16x digital zoom and advanced 3D noise reduction for clear images in a range of lighting conditions. The built-in PID algorithm provides smooth and accurate automatic tracking of a selected subject while rejecting other in-frame motion.
Image capture is provided by a 1/1.8″ CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 8.51 megapixels, supporting 3840 x 2160 up to 60 fps and 1080p up to 60 fps. Shutter speeds range from 1/10000 to 1/30 second and the camera achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 55 dB with a minimum illumination of 0.5 lux. Lens specs include 6.7 to 125 mm focal length and an aperture range of f/1.58 to 3.95.
Connectivity includes HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI BNC, RJ45 LAN for NDI and RTSP/SRT/RTMP streaming, USB-A, and a 3.5 mm mic/line input. Control options include DVIP, VISCA, Pelco-D/Pelco-P, RS-422, and IR remote control; the unit also supports PoE+ (802.3at) to simplify installation. Compatible control tools include Datavideo hardware panels and the PTZ View Assist mobile app for iOS and Android.
