The PTC-285G is a 4K PTZ camera engineered for professional broadcast and live production. It provides 2160p up to 60fps video capture and a 12x optical zoom to cover wide-stage shots and tight close ups with consistent image quality. Integrated auto-tracking and configurable presets streamline single-operator workflows and multi-camera setups.
Key capabilities include NDI|HX support, dual-stream IP output, HDMI 2.0, 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI outputs, plus PoE for single-cable installation. The camera supports H.264/H.265/MJPEG encoding and secondary low-resolution streams for monitoring or remote preview. Auto-tracking uses a PID-based motion algorithm and selectable target linking for reliable subject following.
Imaging is driven by a Sony 1/2.8″ CMOS sensor with approximately 8.51 megapixels and 3D noise reduction for low-noise performance in challenging light. Native video formats include 2160p/1080p/720p at common broadcast frame rates and color sampling options. The optical zoom range is f = 4.4mm to 52.8mm with effective 12x zoom and digital up to 16x.
Connectivity covers IP control and streaming protocols such as RTSP, RTMP(S), SRT, ONVIF and multicast, plus NDI|HX for low-latency network workflows. Control options include IR remote, RS-422, DVIP, VISCA over IP and web GUI access for preview and configuration. Audio is supported via a 3.5mm mic/line input and compressed as AAC or G711 for embedded streams.
The camera is suited to lecture capture, houses of worship, studio production and event livestreaming where a small footprint and networked operation are required. Preset recall, tally indicators and center/left/right framing options help operators achieve consistent results. NDI virtual input capability also makes the camera available as a webcam source for conferencing platforms.
Installation is simplified by PoE (IEEE 802.3at) and multiple mounting options. The housing is available in black or white to suit permanent installs and the mechanical pan-tilt range and speed profiles use an S-shaped acceleration curve for smooth motion. Firmware updates are available via the web UI or USB to keep systems current.
