The PT-571HDCP is a compact twisted-pair transmitter that converts a single-link DVI source into a DGKat twisted-pair signal for long-distance distribution. It supports resolutions up to WUXGA and 1920x1080p and operates at up to 1.65Gbps. The unit is HDCP compliant to preserve protected content when required.
Key features include DGKat signal integration for TMDS and control conversion, EDID pass-through, and HDTV compatibility. The transmitter supports Kramer Power Connect so a single 12V DC supply can power both transmitter and receiver when placed within 50m. It is built in Kramer PicoTOOLS form factor and can be rack-mounted using the RK-4PT adapter.
Performance highlights include a maximum data rate of 1.65Gbps and distance capability that varies by cable and resolution. On shielded Kramer BC-DGKat524 cable the system reaches up to 90m at SXGA and up to 30m at UXGA. Using higher-grade BC-DGKat623 or BC-DGKat723 cables extends UXGA reach to 70m and 80m respectively.
Connectivity is straightforward with a single DVI 24-pin input and a CAT 5 RJ-45 output for the twisted-pair link. The device passes EDID and HDCP data between source and display to maintain compatibility across systems. Use shielded twisted pair (STP) cable with both ends of the shield soldered to ground for reliable performance.
Typical applications include digital signage feeds, AV signal extension in conference rooms, and integration into presentation systems where cable runs exceed standard DVI limits. The compact PicoTOOLS housing allows placement near the source while the mate PT-572HDCP receiver restores the DVI signal at the display. Multiple units can be mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack using Kramer accessories.
Installation is plug-and-play with EDID pass-through and Power Connect simplifying power and signal pairing. The unit’s small footprint and included mounting bracket make it easy to fit into dense AV racks or behind equipment.
