The PT-12 is a compact HDMI controller and EDID processor designed to automate display power and manage EDID/HDCP behavior. It monitors HDMI cable connection and uses CEC signals to turn a connected TV or display on when a source is connected. It also detects signal loss and can automatically power down the display after a user-defined delay.
The unit supports HDMI pass-through up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) and provides EDID processing functions to control video capabilities and ensure correct display negotiation. Color depth attributes and color space forcing can be configured to match display requirements. The PT-12 also controls audio channel limits to enforce compatible audio output.
Technical capabilities include CEC-enabled display control, HDCP authorization management, EDID locking, and configurable shut-down delay. The device presents itself as HDCP authorized to allow display of unsecured content from common computer sources. EDID and video parameters are adjustable to ensure expected video formats are passed through to the display.
