The WP-20/US(W) is a wall-plate HDBaseT switcher and transmitter designed to deliver 4K HDMI and VGA sources over extended-length twisted pair cabling. It provides automatic input selection and Maestro room automation options to reduce setup time and simplify meeting presentation control. The unit accepts PoE power or a local 12V DC adapter for flexible deployment.
Key features include HDBaseT transmission, HDMI and VGA inputs, analog audio embedding and de-embedding, and configurable auto-switching based on priority or last-connected source. The switcher supports HDMI 2.0 features including deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync and multi-channel audio formats. Local buttons and contact-closure inputs allow both on-plate and remote switching.
Performance supports a maximum data rate of 10.2Gbps and 4K@60Hz operation using 4:2:0 chroma sampling. Extension distances reach up to 100m at 4K and longer at Full HD depending on HDBaseT mode. Audio handling includes up to 32 digital channels, audio embedding from an analog input, and analog de-embedding for local speaker feeds.
Connectivity covers HDMI, VGA, stereo analog I/O, one HDBaseT RJ-45 output, 100BaseT Ethernet extension, and bidirectional RS-232 extension via terminal blocks. Four contact-closure switch inputs are provided for remote control and override. The unit is HDCP 1.4 compliant and interoperable with HDBaseT 1.0 receivers and extenders.
Typical applications include podium or wall-mounted source selection in lecture halls, training rooms, auditoriums, meeting rooms and hospitality spaces. The WP-20/US(W) is suitable where a compact in-wall interface and a single twisted pair connection are preferred to simplify cabling and power provisioning. It integrates with centralized control systems and supports Maestro automation for lights and room devices.
Installation is simplified by a two-gang wall-plate form factor that fits US in-wall boxes and by PoE operation which removes the need for local power in many installations. Status LEDs and remote firmware upgrade options reduce maintenance time. The aluminum enclosure and convection cooling provide reliable operation in standard AV environments.
