The WP-20 is a wall-plate HDBaseT switcher and transmitter designed to simplify room AV connectivity and control. It provides automatic input switching and Maestro automation options to manage devices and triggers. The unit supports HDMI, VGA and analog audio inputs and transmits video and control over a single twisted-pair cable – reducing cabling complexity.
The WP-20 offers automatic BYOD switching with configurable priority or last-connected switching behavior. It supports HDMI 2.0 features including deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync and lossless audio formats. The unit also provides audio embedding and de-embedding to route presenter audio or local speaker feeds as required.
Performance includes a maximum data rate of 10.2 Gbps and 4K@60Hz support at 4:2:0 color sampling. The device extends AV signals up to 100m at 4K and farther distances at lower resolutions when used with HDBaseT cabling. Audio performance includes multi-channel switching plus low THD and high SNR for clear audio reproduction.
Connectivity comprises one HDMI input, one VGA input, one analog stereo input and one HDBaseT output plus local analog output for de-embedded audio. Control and management include bidirectional RS-232 extension, a 100BaseT Ethernet pass-through and four contact-closure inputs for remote switching. The WP-20 also supports PoE powering or optional 12V DC supply and offers remote firmware update capabilities.
Typical deployment scenarios include podium or wall-mounted source selection in meeting rooms, lecture halls and hospitality environments. The WP-20 is intended to simplify presenter connectivity while providing centralized control and automation capabilities. Its compact wall-plate form factor enables clean integration with standard 2-gang electrical boxes.
Installation is straightforward and engineered for reliability in pro AV installations – the unit fits US EU and UK 2-gang boxes and uses a single twisted-pair cable for signal and power when PoE is available. Status LEDs and remote IP or RS-232 management reduce maintenance time and speed troubleshooting. The aluminum enclosure and convection cooling provide a durable build for continuous operation.
