The EVF-1122D/64-PIW is a high-power two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for fixed installations that require clear vocal intelligibility and high SPL capability. It combines a 12 inch low-frequency transducer with a 3 inch titanium compression driver on a constant-directivity waveguide to deliver focused coverage. The weather-protected enclosure and rotatable horn make it suitable for indoor or weatherized outdoor deployments.
Key features include a DH7N 3 inch titanium/neodymium HF compression driver and a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide offering 60 x 40 nominal coverage. The DVX3121A 12 inch woofer was developed using FEA optimization to minimize distortion and maximize efficiency. The system provides 97 dB sensitivity and a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB using a 4th-order crossover with HF protection for reliable high-level operation.
Technically the loudspeaker offers a frequency range to -10 dB of 49 Hz – 21 and a frequency response to -3 dB of 57 Hz – 18 as published. The passive crossover is set at 1300 Hz and uses steep 24 dB per octave slopes with equalization to flatten vocal-range response and preserve linear off-axis behavior. Power handling is rated 600 W continuous, 1200 W program, and 2400 W peak to support demanding sound reinforcement requirements.
Connectivity is handled via an externally accessible Euroblock input with options for a dual NL4-type connector cover plate or gland-nut cover plate on PI versions for weatherizing. An external jumper allows selection between passive and active operation. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems, enabling flexible integration into existing infrastructures.
The trapezoidal enclosure is constructed from 13-ply weather-resistant birch and finished with EVCoat for enhanced protection. The standard grille is 16 ga galvanneal powdercoat with a screen behind it, while PI versions use 18 ga stainless steel with hydrophobic cloth. The cabinet includes 22 M10 threaded suspension points and one EBK-M10-EVI kit of four forged eyebolts is included to aid safe rigging and arraying.
Installation and system design are simplified by the EVF/EVH family compatibility and selectable horn patterns, which allow vertical or horizontal arrays using mixed models. Recommended high-pass is 65 Hz and the enclosure dimensions and mounting provisions support straightforward integration into permanent installs. Overall, the EVF-1122D/64-PIW is a rugged, high-output loudspeaker that balances clarity, throw, and weather resistance for professional audiovisual deployments.
