The Portacapture X6 is a compact portable audio recorder built to capture high-resolution audio in the field. It combines 32-bit float recording, up to 96 kHz sampling, and a 2.4-inch color touchscreen to streamline capture workflows. Key features include two XLR inputs with 24V/48V phantom power, dual selectable AB/true-X/Y built-in microphones, and 32-bit float processing that preserves dynamic range without manual gain adjustments. Connectivity includes two balanced XLR inputs, a 3.5 mm line input, stereo line output, headphone output, USB-C port with USB 2.0 Hi-Speed mass storage / USB audio class compliance and an optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter port for remote control and timecode sync. The unit runs on four AA cells, USB bus power or an optional AC adapter and supports microSD media up to 512 GB.
