The NVR-MX16POE-1U16MP1-4TB is a 16-channel network video recorder designed for commercial surveillance – it pairs an integrated 16-port PoE switch with intelligent recording and AI analytics. This compact desktop unit supports high-resolution camera inputs up to 16 MP and provides local 4K HDMI monitoring. It ships with a 4TB internal HDD preinstalled and supports up to two 16TB drives for extended retention.
Key features include an embedded 16-port IEEE 802.3 af/at PoE switch delivering up to 130W total PoE power and up to 25.5W per port, Smart H.265+ encoding for bit rate reductions, and FlexSmart AI compatibility for advanced IVS functions. The recorder supports simultaneous HDMI and VGA outputs with up to 3840 × 2160 output on HDMI and multi-channel decoding for live view and playback. Network security and encrypted traffic are implemented to meet modern cybersecurity expectations.
Technical performance covers support for Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG compression formats, plus incoming bandwidth of 256 Mbps when AI is disabled and 180 Mbps when AI is enabled. The unit can decode up to two channels at 16 MP@30 fps or four channels at 8 MP/4K@30 fps and provides full 1080p on all 16 channels for local HDMI output. Recording resolutions range from 16 MP down to CIF to accommodate retention planning and network constraints.
Connectivity options include one Gigabit RJ-45 LAN port, P2P automatic registration, support for ONVIF 22.06 profiles, Chrome/Edge/Firefox/Safari web access, and IC Realtime’s IC View+ mobile app for Android and iOS. Backup options include USB devices, network backup and eSATA, while the front and rear USB 2.0 ports provide local export. The PoE bridge mode enables addressing third-party cameras over the local network while maintaining centralized power and cabling.
