The NVR-FX16POE-1U16MP1 is a rack-mountable 16-channel network video recorder that combines a 16-port PoE switch and a compact 1U chassis – designed to consolidate camera power and recording into a single rack unit. It supports IP cameras up to 16MP and provides local 4K HDMI output for on-site monitoring. The unit is targeted at installers and IT teams needing a secure, compact recorder with integrated PoE.
Core features include an embedded industrial-grade processor running IC Realtime ICR 4.0 O/S and Smart H.265+ encoding for reduced bit rates and storage use. The recorder supports AI-based analytics including perimeter protection, face detection/recognition and intelligent motion detection via iMD. The integrated 16-port IEEE802.3at/af PoE switch delivers up to 130W total PoE power and supports bridge mode for networked camera addressing.
Storage is provided by two SATA III bays supporting up to 16 TB each for a maximum of 32 TB onboard capacity. Throughput with AI disabled is 256 Mbps incoming/recording/outgoing and with AI enabled is 180 Mbps incoming/recording/outgoing. HDMI decoding supports multi-channel high resolutions including up to two 16 MP@30 fps channels when AI is disabled and reduced channel counts when AI is enabled.
Connectivity and compatibility include one Gigabit Ethernet port, ONVIF 22.06 support, P2P automatic registration, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, RS232 for debug, and RCA audio I/O plus two-way talk support. The recorder provides simultaneous VGA and HDMI outputs and supports common protocols such as RTSP, SNMP, DHCP and DDNS. Remote access is available through the ICView+ mobile app for Android and iOS and via modern web browsers.
Typical applications include retail and small enterprise surveillance, multi-camera installations in server rooms and perimeter monitoring where integrated PoE simplifies rack wiring and power distribution. The recorder’s AI features speed event searches and reduce false alarms by distinguishing people and vehicles. Alarm I/O and two-way audio support integration with gates, access control and external alarm systems.
Installation is simplified by automatic camera initialization, P2P network connectivity and a redesigned GUI for quick configuration and daily operation. The chassis supports desktop or 19 inch rack mounting and runs on 100-240 VAC power with low idle consumption. Built-in multi-layer authorization and encrypted network traffic align the recorder with recent UL CAP cybersecurity practices and the system is backed by a 10-year limited warranty and IC Realtime iCare support.
