The NHD-CTL-PRO v2 is a dedicated networked controller designed to centralize configuration and control of NetworkHD AV-over-IP systems. It provides a unified web-based setup environment that consolidates endpoint naming, IP addressing, firmware updates and video wall management. The controller is accessible from any modern browser on desktop, tablet or smartphone and simplifies system commissioning.
Key features include a guided setup wizard, dual 1GbE network interfaces for AV/control isolation, and multiple security protocols to protect management traffic. The setup wizard walks installers through initial IP configuration, endpoint discovery and video wall creation step by step. The controller also exposes an open API for custom control integrations and automation.
Technically the controller provides two 1GbE RJ45 ports, an RS-232 6-pin phoenix connector and support for SSH, TLS and HTTPS security protocols. Power options include PoE support or a 12V DC external supply and the unit typically consumes a maximum of 15.4 watts with an average draw of 8 watts. Operating range covers 0 to 45°C and storage range extends from -20 to 70°C, and the unit measures 215mm x 120mm x 25mm.
Connectivity is focused on networked AV and control systems – the two NICs separate multicast AV traffic from enterprise/control networks to preserve IT stability and security. USB and HDMI are reserved for future use and the RS-232 port supports legacy control integrations. The built-in LED screen displays essential system information such as IP addresses and firmware versions for on-site troubleshooting.
Typical applications include corporate AV deployments, digital signage networks, education facilities and control-room systems where fast deployment and network isolation are required. The device enables rapid commissioning of NetworkHD endpoints and supports automatic device discovery to accelerate large installations. The open API and interface drivers make it suitable for integration with third-party control systems and enterprise management platforms.
