The NHD-500-RX v2 is a 4K60 HDMI over IP decoder engineered to receive high-bandwidth HDMI 2.0 streams and present full-resolution video and audio on displays. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG allowing accurate HDR reproduction and metadata handling. The unit also integrates low-latency decoding and advanced routing features for AV deployments.
Key capabilities include 4K60 4:4:4 decoding, JPEG2000 output encoding and support for Dolby Vision and HDR formats. The device supports video walls up to 16×16 and offers USB 2.0, S/PDIF, balanced audio and ARC passthrough for flexible system design. Dante AV-A / AES67 support and dual network interfaces extend audio and control across AV networks.
Performance highlights include up to 4096×2160@60Hz 8bit 4:4:4 or RGB and 3840×2160@60Hz 12bit 4:2:2 for Dolby Vision/HDR content. The encoder/decoder pair operates with ultra-low latency – 4ms in passthrough and 1-2 frames when using scaling or video wall modes. Maximum encoding data rate is rated up to 850Mbps and the pixel clock supports up to 600MHz.
Connectivity covers 1GbE RJ45 and 1Gb SFP fiber interfaces for long-reach links, HDMI 2.0 I/O, USB 2.0 Type A/B ports for KVM and HID devices, IR TX/RX and RS-232 for control integration. ARC and Toslink support audio return from displays, and balanced audio outputs enable integration with professional audio systems. The device also supports HDCP 2.2 and CEC/EDID management for source/display interoperability.
The NHD-500-RX v2 is suitable for digital signage, control rooms, corporate AV and entertainment venues requiring precise HDR rendering and robust AV transport. Deploy it in video wall installations, distributed AV over fiber or copper networks, and Dante-enabled audio environments. Its networked architecture and fast matrix switching are optimized for multi-screen presentations and live venue workflows.
Installation is rack or wall mountable and supports PoE+ or local 12V DC power for flexible deployments. The chassis and connectors are designed for system-level reliability and field integration, and the device is managed via the NetworkHD Touch app and Sygma cloud device management. Firmware updates and secure remote management are supported via SSH and HTTPS.
