The NET-M4300-48X-PC is a stackable managed network switch designed to deliver line-rate 10Gb Ethernet connectivity across 48 RJ45 ports and four shared SFP+ slots. It provides advanced Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 services including policy based routing, nonstop forwarding and multicast optimizations. This product is engineered to support IT core deployments and AV-over-IP distribution where deterministic multicast and high port density are required.
Key features include 48 10GBASE-T ports, 4 shared 1G/10G SFP+ ports, a 960 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric and modular power options. The switch supports NSF virtual chassis architectures for hitless failover and distributed link aggregation for multi-resilient stacking. Intelligent IGMP multicast handling reduces configuration complexity for professional AV deployments.
Technical specifications include a 128K MAC address table, 8K ARP/NDP entries and throughput up to 714 Mpps. Latency is listed at 2.41 microseconds on 10G RJ45 and 1.51 microseconds on 10G SFP+. The unit provides IPv4 and IPv6 routing features, RIP and OSPF scaling and up to 1,024 IPv4 multicast groups.
Connectivity options include an out-of-band 1G Ethernet management port, front mini-USB and rear RJ45 console ports, plus a front USB storage port. The appliance ships with one APS250W modular PSU installed and a blank cover in the secondary PSU bay. Front-to-back fixed fans provide predictable airflow and acoustics are low relative to comparable full-width designs.
Typical use cases include AV-over-IP networks where deterministic L2 multicast and SDVoE readiness are required, campus aggregation and SMB core switching.
