The NET-M4300-24X24F-PC is a stackable managed 48-port 10Gb switch engineered for IT core and AV-over-IP deployments. It combines 24 10GBASE-T RJ45 ports and 24 10G SFP+ ports in a single full-width 1U chassis. The platform provides Layer 2/Layer 3/Layer 4 features with nonstop forwarding for high availability in distributed networks.
The switch delivers a 960 Gbps non-blocking fabric and support for up to 714 Mpps throughput to ensure line-rate switching for mixed 1G and 10G environments. Advanced multicast and IGMP Plus functionality enable scalable AV-over-IP installations without PIM complexity. Stacking and distributed link aggregation provide resilience and load balancing across units.
Key technical specifications include 128K MAC addresses, 8K ARP/NDP entries, IP multicast tables for 1,024 IPv4 and 512 IPv6 groups, and low latency of under 0.9 microseconds on 10G SFP+ ports. The unit ships with a single APS250W modular PSU installed and a blank cover in the secondary PSU bay. Noise levels are specified at 35.8 dB at 25 degrees C.
Connectivity options include front-panel out-of-band 1G management, mini-USB and RJ45 RS232 console ports, and a front USB storage port. The switch supports mixed 1G and 10G SFP+ optics and standard 10GBASE-T copper connections, making it compatible with common enterprise and AV network endpoints. The NMS300 single-pane management platform supports mass-configuration workflows.
Typical use cases include AV-over-IP distribution, SDVoE-ready video transport, campus aggregation, and converged access for unified communications and wireless backhaul. The switch provides multicast optimizations and Layer 3 routing capabilities needed for large-scale professional AV and enterprise deployments. It is pre-configured for L2 multicast to simplify AV integration.
Installation and operation are simplified by standard 1U rack mounting, modular power supply design, dual firmware image support for safe updates, and low acoustic operation suited for noise-sensitive environments.
