The MX-1616-SCL is a 16×16 HDMI/HDBaseT matrix switcher that distributes and scales video and audio to multiple displays. It provides per-output scaling and seamless fast switching to ensure image continuity during source transitions. The unit supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 to maintain compatibility with modern UHD sources and displays.
The chassis offers seamless switching across all inputs and outputs with switching latency under 50ms and per-output 4K60 scalers to match each display’s native resolution. Built-in automatic input/output detection and EDID management simplify configuration. Independent audio de-embedding and balanced outputs enable separate audio routing from video paths.
Video performance includes support for resolutions up to 4K60 with various color depths and HDR formats including HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG. HDBaseT transmission supports up to 10.2Gbps per link and HDMI paths operate at 18Gbps. The system maintains a maximum pixel clock of 600MHz for reliable high-bandwidth formats.
Connectivity includes hot-pluggable TX-SCL-HDBT and TX-SCL-HDMI cards providing HDMI inputs and HDBT/HDMI outputs with balanced 5-pin audio outputs per output. Control is available via RS-232 DB9, Ethernet Web UI and matrix control commands, plus routable RS-232 device control and Telnet support. HDBaseT outputs support 1-way PoH up to 15W for compatible receivers.
The MX-1616-SCL is ideal for conference centers, auditoriums, lecture halls and digital signage networks where multiple sources must be routed and scaled to many screens. It supports mixed modern HDR workflows and legacy formats through onboard scalers. Independent audio switching and de-embed make it suitable where sound must be managed separately from video.
Installation is rack-friendly at 4U with standard mounting hardware and multi-region power cord options included. The unit uses a 100-240V AC supply and features robust thermal design rated for 0 to 45C operation. Firmware updates, web-based management and RS-232 control streamline integration and ongoing maintenance.
