The MX-0808-SCL v2 is an 8×8 HDMI matrix system that distributes HDMI sources to multiple display zones using HDBaseT technology. It combines seamless scaling, HDCP 2.3 support and USB-C compatibility to provide consistent video distribution and routing in commercial installations. The unit is designed to support current UHD/HDR content while offering installer-centric control features.
Key features include eight HDBaseT outputs with included receivers, four mirrored HDMI outputs, and four balanced 2-channel analog audio outputs for long-run audio connections. The matrix supports 4K/60 4:2:0, 4K/30 4:4:4 and 10-bit HDR formats, plus multichannel HDMI audio and audio de-embed options. Additional system functions include CEC power triggering, A/V mute and API-controlled standby.
Performance specifications provide an encoding data rate of 9.2Gbps with HDBaseT Class B encoding and an end-to-end latency of 10?s. Maximum video modes include 3840x2160p at multiple bit depths and chroma formats and 1920x1080p at 60Hz 16-bit. The system supports DCI, RGB, HDR10, HLG and BT.2020 standards and a maximum HDBaseT pixel clock of 340MHz.
Connectivity includes eight HDMI inputs, eight HDBaseT outputs, one mirrored HDMI output per matrix unit, four balanced 5-pin analog audio outputs, RS-232 DB9 and terminal block control, 10/100BaseT Ethernet, and multiple IR I/O. HDBaseT features include 1-way PoH and bidirectional IR to the receivers. EDID management is available via DIP switches or the embedded WebUI.
Typical applications include corporate AV distribution, education lecterns and lecture halls, hospitality digital signage and conference rooms where multiple displays and centralized source management are required. The balanced analog audio outputs follow the last four HDBaseT zones for integration with local ceiling or amplifier systems. CEC triggering and API control enable automated power and system workflows.
Installation is simplified by a compact 1U chassis with adjustable depth rack brackets and included power cables for multiple regions. The embedded WebUI supports source switching, EDID copy and installer configuration while the API and RS-232 interfaces enable integration with third-party control systems.
