The MX-0808-SCL is an 8×8 HDMI matrix switcher that provides seamless source switching and per-output 4K60 scaling – designed to deliver consistent video across multiple displays. Each HDMI output includes an integrated scaler that supports resolutions from 480p up to 4K60 and handles HDR metadata. The unit targets professional AV deployments that require fast transitions and per-screen resolution matching.
Key features include low-latency seamless switching, integrated 4K60 scalers on every output, and a full USB-C input that carries 4K60 video plus a 1GbE passthrough. The USB-C host port also supplies PD3.0 charging up to 60 watts to power or charge connected devices. Audio can be de-embedded and routed independently to balanced analog outputs for flexible audio distribution.
Video performance supports uncompressed 18Gbps bandwidth and a maximum pixel clock of 600MHz to maintain color fidelity and timing across sources. Supported formats include HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and BT.2021 to ensure compatibility with modern HDR displays. Seamless switching is engineered to operate with less than 50ms of transition time to avoid visible blanking between sources.
Connectivity is comprehensive – the matrix offers 7 HDMI inputs plus a USB-C input, and 8 HDMI outputs. Control options include RS-232, HTTP/HTTPS WebUI, Telnet and TLS API control over a single RJ-45 1GbE port. HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2/2.3 support along with EDID management and CEC provide interoperability with a wide range of source and display devices.
Typical applications include corporate meeting rooms, lecture halls, hotels and multi-zone digital signage where different displays require different resolutions or HDR handling. The per-output scaling and independent audio routing allow integrators to optimize image and sound per zone. The USB-C input simplifies connectivity for laptops and mobile devices while preserving network and charging functions.
