The MX-0404-KIT is a compact 1U 4×4 HDMI matrix switcher designed to distribute 4K UHD and HDR sources across multiple zones. It integrates HDBaseT distribution to three remote receivers plus a switched HDMI output for a local display. This kit provides audio de-embedding, CEC triggering and PoH to simplify installation and operation.
Key features include true 4×4 matrix switching, three HDBaseT zone outputs and one switched HDMI output. The unit supports up to 4K/60 4:2:0 8-bit and 4K/30 10-bit HDR content along with multi-channel audio formats. Additional features such as SmartEDID, EDID management and A/V mute provide flexible control over signal and presentation behavior.
Performance supports 4K UHD over HDBaseT to 35m/115ft and 1080p to 70m/230ft using standard HDBaseT wiring, while HDMI output 1 can extend to 50m/164ft using WyreStorm HAOC cables. HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures compatibility with modern 4K sources and content. Multichannel audio including DTS:X and Dolby Atmos is passed to outputs and can be de-embedded via S/PDIF coaxial outputs.
Connectivity includes HDMI inputs and outputs, three HDBaseT zone outputs that provide PoH and IR pass-through, plus S/PDIF coaxial audio outputs for each zone. Control options include front panel buttons, IR remote, local IR via 3.5mm jack, RS-232, Telnet, WebUI and API. CEC triggering can be automatic or API controlled for connected displays.
The MX-0404-KIT suits residential media distribution, commercial AV rooms and education spaces where multiple sources must be routed independently. It handles HDR content and multichannel audio while enabling local audio extraction for AVRs and centralized control integration. Installers benefit from EDID management and WebUI configuration to match source and display capabilities.
Installation is streamlined by the compact 1U chassis and adjustable depth rack brackets and included international power leads.
