Description
The MX-0402-MST is a 4×2 multi-input presentation switcher designed to consolidate video audio USB control and network signals in modern meeting rooms. It combines dual USB-C and dual HDMI inputs with two HDMI outputs and analog audio de-embedding to support common meeting room workflows. Cable-lock capable connectors and a rack-friendly footprint make it suitable for professional installations.
Key capabilities include USB-C inputs that carry 4K video USB 3.2 data and up to 60W Power Delivery while supporting dual-video over a single USB-C connection. HDMI I/O supports HDMI 18Gbps bandwidth and 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit video along with HDR10 HLG HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats. The switcher also supports a broad set of audio codecs and multichannel formats to preserve AV fidelity.
Performance specifications include HDMI 18Gbps output encoding a maximum pixel clock of 600MHz and USB 3.2 data rates up to 5Gbit/s per lane on USB-C inputs. Maximum video resolution supported is 3840x2160p at 60Hz 4:4:4 8bit and the unit handles HDR and DCI or RGB color spaces. Audio via HDMI and USB-C can include up to 7.1 channels and analog de-embedding provides 2-channel PCM output.
Connectivity covers two HDMI inputs two USB-C inputs two HDMI outputs four USB 3.2 device ports a balanced analog audio output RS-232 GPIO and dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports with switching and VLAN support. Control options include RS-232 Telnet and a browser-based Web UI which also supports firmware updates and factory restore functions. All ports support cable locks to secure presenter devices during use.
Typical use cases include conference rooms boardrooms and huddle spaces where multiple native laptop and USB-C sources need to be shared to dual displays while providing device charging and local USB peripheral access. Automatic switching modes such as priority and last-in-first-out keep the most relevant source on screen with minimal user interaction. Independent USB and video switching allows a presenter to share content while preserving local USB device connectivity.
Installation and maintenance are simplified by a single 20V power supply and web-based configuration tools. Total power consumption is approximately 150W including connected USB peripherals and USB-C charging and the USB-C ports deliver up to 60W PD to charge laptops. Built-in diagnostics and a professional control interface streamline commissioning and long-term management of the device.
