The MTX3-88-SE is an 8×8 seamless HDMI matrix switcher designed to route and present multiple HDMI sources to multiple displays with high image quality and minimal interruption. It features built-in HDBaseT extension and mirrored HDBaseT outputs for local and remote presentation, enabling quad-view multi-display layouts from multiple sources. The unit supports 4K60 4:4:4 and HDCP 2.3 to meet modern AV requirements.
The matrix includes a powerful multi-view processor capable of dual quad-view or quad dual-view presentations and supports eight independent HDMI inputs and eight HDMI outputs. Seamless switching ensures instantaneous transitions between sources while built-in ProcAmp scaling provides high-resolution up and down scaling and automatic signal adjustment. USB 2.0 extension, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR extension are included to allow remote device connectivity and control.
Video performance supports a maximum bandwidth of 18 Gbps and resolutions up to 3840×2160 at 60 Hz 4:4:4. HDMI features include Deep Color, HDR and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0b, and content protection is HDCP 2.3. The audio path supports up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio and includes four balanced stereo analog outputs from digital audio de-embedding for local audio systems.
Connectivity includes eight HDMI inputs, one HDBaseT input, nine HDMI outputs, two HDBaseT outputs, and four balanced stereo analog line outputs. Control and extension ports include LAN, RS-232, USB 2.0 extension over HDBaseT, bidirectional IR, and Ethernet extension up to 100 Mbps. PoE support and HDBaseT 3.0 compliance provide single-cable extension for AV, control and power up to recommended cable distances.
Typical use cases include control rooms and auditoriums requiring seamless multi-view presentations and routed content distribution across local and remote displays. The unit is suitable for conference halls, visitor centers and other large spaces where multiple sources and displays must be combined, scaled and managed centrally. Configurable multi-view presets and on-device controls simplify presentation setup and switching in live environments.
Installation is simplified with standard 19 inch 2U rack mounting, fan ventilation cooling and IT-grade security features such as 802.1x authentication. Remote management is available via embedded web pages, API commands, and remote IP firmware upgrade to maintain long-term deployment. The unit provides a robust hardware base and extensive control options to integrate into professional AV systems.
