The MTX2-42-T is a compact HDMI matrix transmitter designed to route two USB-C and two HDMI sources to local HDMI and extended HDBaseT outputs. It combines matrix switching, USB extension and DSP audio processing in a single half-rack enclosure. The unit supports BYOD workflows and remote USB peripherals to streamline modern meeting and presentation spaces.
Key capabilities include independent routing of two USB-C and two HDMI inputs to HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, integrated DSP audio for talk-over and EQ, and USB 2.0 extension over HDBaseT to support cameras and HID devices. The device supports HDMI features such as 4K60 and HDCP 1.4/2.2 plus audio formats including Dolby and DTS. I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID handling ensures reliable plug-and-play operation between sources and displays.
Performance specifications include 18 Gbps on USB-C and HDMI ports and 10.2 Gbps on the HDBaseT link, 4K60 support, and HDBaseT 2.0 compliance for extended distances. Analog and embedded audio paths are supported with up to 8 embedded channels and balanced stereo analog output. The DSP provides mixing, equalization and delay processing to adapt audio to room acoustics and conferencing needs.
Connectivity is comprehensive: two HDMI inputs, two USB-C inputs, one HDMI output, one HDBaseT RJ-45 output, Ethernet, dual RS-232 ports, USB hubs and USB host ports. USB-C sources can receive up to 60W power and can carry DP-Alt-Mode video while sharing USB and Ethernet over a single cable. Control options include IP web GUI, RS-232 and local panel buttons for flexible integration into control systems.
The MTX2-42-T is suited to classrooms, meeting rooms and training facilities where mixed local and remote participation is required. It enables switching of AV and USB host ports so local room devices like cameras and microphones can be shared with remote meeting participants while content is presented to room displays. The device supports professional audio workflows by de-embedding digital audio to balanced analog outputs for DSP or amplifier feed.
Installation is simplified by a fanless half-rack 1U aluminum enclosure that can mount under tables or in podiums and operate between 0 and 40 degrees C. Remote firmware upgrade and management via embedded web pages or API reduce maintenance overhead.
