The LARK M2 is a two-person digital wireless microphone system designed to capture clean dialogue and ambient audio in mobile production environments. It pairs two clip-on transmitters with a plug-in USB-C receiver to deliver 24-bit 48 kHz audio over a 2.4 GHz digital link. The system is engineered for quick setup and reliable on-camera or mobile-device recording.
Key features include high-gain LDS antennas for stable transmission, environmental noise cancellation for clearer voice capture, and an omnidirectional built-in microphone in each transmitter. The transmitters incorporate metallic mesh shielding to reduce RF and infrared interference and include magnetic back clips and silicone necklace mounts for flexible placement. Furry windscreens are provided to reduce wind noise in outdoor shoots.
Audio performance is specified at 24-bit/48 kHz with a 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a maximum SPL of 115 dB. The transmitters use a 90 mAh rechargeable battery that delivers about 10 hours per charge and recharge in approximately 1.5 hours. The included charging case contains a 750 mAh battery that provides two additional full recharges for a combined runtime of up to 40 hours.
Connectivity centers on a plug-in, class-compliant USB-C receiver that is bus-powered by the host device and compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices. The system supports USB-C male and female ports on the receiver and exposes simple onboard controls and LED indicators for pairing and noise cancellation status. The LarkSound mobile app offers remote control of gain, noise cancellation, firmware updates and real-time status monitoring.
