The LARK M2 wireless lavalier microphone combo is a compact dual-transmitter audio system designed for mobile journalism and content creation – it delivers clear speech capture and simple field operation. The system captures 24-bit 48 kHz audio and offers environmental noise cancellation for improved vocal clarity. Lightweight transmitters, a camera-mount receiver and plug-in mobile receivers enable flexible recording workflows on cameras and smartphones.
Key features include two clip-on transmitters with built-in omnidirectional microphones, a dual-channel camera-mount receiver and two plug-in receivers for Lightning and USB-C devices. High-gain LDS antennas and a dual-interference metallic mesh reduce RF interference across the 2.4 GHz band. LED status indicators and onboard controls allow quick checking and adjustment of mode, volume and noise cancellation.
Audio performance is professional-grade for its class – the system records 24-bit 48 kHz audio and delivers a 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio with a maximum SPL of 115 dB. Transmission stability is supported by LDS antenna design and a stated line-of-sight range up to 305 m. The built-in environmental noise cancellation helps maintain intelligibility in noisy surroundings.
Connectivity covers traditional camera 3.5 mm TRS outputs plus MFi-certified Lightning and class-compliant USB-C plug-in receivers for iOS and Android devices. The camera-mount receiver provides stereo/mono selection and a TRS output while the plug-in receivers run on plug-in power from the host device. Additional adapter cables and a camera shoe mount extend compatibility across a wide range of cameras and mobile devices.
This combo is suitable for run-and-gun reporting, interviews, vlogging and multi-person content capture where compact wireless audio is required. Use the system on-location for quick two-person interviews, on set for remote talent capture or in the field for social video production. The system supports remote video triggering from the transmitter when paired with the LarkSound mobile app to simplify single-operator shoots.
Battery life supports extended shoots – each transmitter uses a 90 mAh cell rated for up to 10 hours and the camera-mount receiver uses a 145 mAh cell rated for up to 9 hours. The included charging case holds a 1950 mAh battery that can recharge the system multiple times for extended field use and the components can also be charged via USB-C. Overall build and accessory choices such as magnetic clips, silicone necklace cases and furry windscreens help streamline attachment and outdoor recording reliability.
