The KIT-500 is an integrated transmitter and receiver matrix kit designed to route multiple AV sources to local and remote displays while extending USB and control signals over a single HDBaseT link. It combines a 5×2 switcher matrix workflow with scaling and ProcAmp image processing to deliver consistent presentation quality. The system supports both USB-C and HDMI sources and extends them to HDMI and HDBaseT outputs.
Key capabilities include independent routing of two USB-C and two HDMI inputs to both HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, built-in high-resolution scaling, and glitch-free source switching. The receiver provides an HDMI input for local sources and an HDBaseT input for remote sources from the transmitter. Integrated USB 2.0 extension and USB hub support enable remote USB peripherals like cameras and audio devices to be used by a local host.
Video performance supports 4K60 over USB-C and HDMI on the transmitter and 4K60 output over HDMI at the receiver in 4:4:4 when delivered locally. HDBaseT extension supports up to 40m at 4K60 (4:2:0) and up to 70m at 1080p@60Hz. The unit complies with HDMI features including HDCP 1.4 and 2.2, CEC, deep color, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD passthrough where applicable.
Audio is handled by an integrated DSP providing microphone talk-over, equalization, mixing and delay processing, plus audio insertion and de-embedding to balanced analog outputs. Embedded audio support includes multi-channel formats and LPCM where supported by each port. The receiver also provides stereo balanced outputs to feed local professional audio equipment in parallel with display audio.
Connectivity includes multiple HDMI and USB-C inputs, HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, Ethernet, RS-232 control, contact closure and relay interfaces. The system supports I-EDIDPro EDID management, remote IP control and an intelligent control gateway for RS-232 and relay-driven device management. USB 2.0 extension across HDBaseT enables HID and camera connectivity for hybrid meeting scenarios.
Installation is simplified by single-cable HDBaseT connectivity that carries video, audio, USB and power over the HDBaseT link where applicable, and compact fanless MegaTOOLS enclosures for under-table or display-adjacent mounting. Firmware updates and management are available via embedded web pages and remote IP APIs to ensure maintainable deployments.
