The IW31-EZ is a compact 3 inch in-wall full-range speaker designed for fixed-install audio systems. It serves both 8 ohm stereo circuits and distributed 25/70.7/100V systems when used with the transformer accessory. The enclosure integrates the driver and backcan to minimize wall depth while maintaining audio performance.
Key features include a 3.0 inch polypropylene driver with butyl rubber surround and fully weatherized components for indoor and outdoor use. The speaker offers a six-position tap selector with a transformer bypass option to support low-impedance or constant-voltage systems. Installation is simplified by the constant-tension SpeedWing mounting system and included mounting hardware.
Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 85.5 dB and a frequency response of 190 Hz to 14 kHz (-3 dB), with extended response to 115 Hz to 22 kHz at -10 dB. Connectivity uses a hardwire input and the unit supports transformer taps for 25/70.7/100V lines when the transformer accessory is fitted.
