The IPFX-D40V-IRW3 is a compact 4MP IP vandal dome designed for indoor and outdoor surveillance environments. It delivers high-resolution 2688 x 1520 video and advanced AI metadata for smarter detection and search. The camera combines rugged IP67 weather sealing and IK10 impact protection in a small form factor.
This model features IC Realtime FlexSmartAi with iMD 2.0 to stream in-camera AI metadata alongside the video – enabling recorder-based Object Search and improved tripwire and intrusion detection. The dome includes a motorized 2.7mm–13.5mm power zoom auto-focus lens controllable from the IC View+ app or compatible NVR. Built-in microphone and AI sound detection extend sensing beyond image-based triggers.
Imaging hardware includes a 1/2.9″ 4MP progressive CMOS sensor, 120dB WDR, 3D DNR and Starlight low-light sensitivity to 0.005 lux. Smart IR illumination provides grayscale night view to approximately 131 ft. The camera supports H.265/H.264 and Smart H.265+ adaptive encoding for up to 70% bandwidth savings when paired with IC Realtime NVRs.
Connectivity and compatibility cover PoE (802.3af) and DC12V power, RJ-45 10/100Base-T Ethernet, ONVIF Profile S/G/T, CGI and P2P. The dome outputs three independent streams and supports Micro SD storage to 256GB as well as FTP/SFTP and NAS. Web viewing and management are supported via IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Smart ICRSS and IC Now.
Typical deployments include perimeter monitoring, retail and school surveillance where impact resistance and weatherproofing are required. The built-in AI metadata and Object Search make it practical for multi-camera sites that need fast forensic search across many channels. Adjustable varifocal optics and motorized focus let integrators balance field of view and detail for each scene.
Installation is simplified by PoE power and a compact dome design that fits existing mounts and junction boxes used with the prior version. The metal base and IK10 acrylic dome provide mechanical protection while the IP67 rating supports outdoor exposure. IC Realtime backs the unit with a 10-year limited warranty for long-term field reliability.
