The ADDERLink ipeps mini is a compact standalone KVM over IP unit that provides secure remote control of a single VGA-equipped computer. It enables full keyboard, video and mouse access remotely across IP networks including internet and corporate LANs. The unit supports out-of-band operation allowing access even during BIOS, boot or crash states – providing true independent control.
The ipeps mini uses RealVNC Viewer technology to deliver remote streaming and supports resolutions up to 1920×1200 at 8 bits per channel. It provides USB A ports for keyboard and mouse emulation and a VGA input for video capture. Security is enforced with AES 128 or 256-bit encryption and RSA 2048-bit public key authentication to protect remote sessions.
Key technical details include support for 1920×1200 resolution and 8 bpc colour depth, USB A 1.1 emulated connections for full and low speed devices, and a single RJ45 network link for 1GbE bandwidth. Power consumption is minimal with typical draw around 3 W and maximum power of 5 W. The device has a rated MTBF of 2,000,000 hours and comes with a two year warranty.
Connectivity options include two USB A ports for true emulation of input devices and one VGA input for video capture. Network connectivity is via a single 8p8c (RJ45) port supporting 1GbE networks only. The ipeps mini is OS agnostic and works with all known operating systems due to its hardware emulation approach.
Typical applications include remote server management in data centres, remote access to control systems for maintenance and monitoring, and gateway access into ADDERLink matrix systems to reach any attached computer. The unit is particularly useful where BIOS-level or pre-boot access is required because it provides independent hardware-level KVM control. Multiple users can be provisioned with up to 16 profiles and up to 8 simultaneous remote connections when required.
Installation and operation are straightforward with USB powered or optional external 5 V DC supply. The compact ABS and aluminium enclosure and small footprint allow mounting alongside equipment or within racks using appropriate accessories. The ipeps mini is designed for continuous operation in standard IT environments and offers enterprise-grade security and robust physical design for demanding remote management workflows.
