The IPEL-E40V-W2-LED is a 4MP IP eyeball camera engineered for continuous color imaging – it captures 2688 x 1520 resolution at up to 30 fps for clear identification. The camera features a motorized 2.7-12mm varifocal lens that provides a flexible field of view between 104.7deg and 56.1deg. It is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance enabling indoor and outdoor installations.
Key hardware includes a 1/1.8″ CMOS sensor, F1.0 constant aperture and warm white LEDs that enable full-color imaging up to 164 ft in darkness. Onboard Wide Dynamic Range of 140 dB preserves detail in scenes with extreme contrast. H.265 video compression reduces storage and bandwidth while preserving image fidelity.
The camera supports advanced analytics including Perimeter Protection with tripwire and intrusion boxes that classify human and vehicle objects to cut false alarms. Intelligent Motion Detect 2.0 applies secondary filtering to ignore environmental triggers such as leaves or lighting changes. Face detection and people counting metadata are supported for indexed search workflows when paired with compatible recorders.
Connectivity includes RJ-45 10/100Base-T Ethernet and support for PoE+ (802.3at), 12 VDC and ePoE for flexible power options and redundancy. ONVIF Profile S/G/T compatibility allows integration with third-party NVRs and VMS platforms. Edge storage is supported via microSD up to 512GB plus FTP/SFTP and NAS options.
Typical applications include perimeter monitoring where round-the-clock color detail improves event verification, retail or building entrances where recognition at mid distances is required, and outdoor stairwells or loading areas where extreme weather tolerance is needed. The camera’s warm light LEDs and high WDR increase detection reliability across varied lighting conditions. It is suitable for single-camera deployments or multi-camera systems managed by IC Realtime NVRs or IC Now platform.
Installation is simplified by the motorized varifocal lens and compact 4.80″ x 5.02″ turret housing that allow fine framing without lens disassembly. The metal casing and IP67 rating provide long-term durability in harsh environments. Firmware and configuration can be managed through the IC Now desktop platform or IC View+ mobile app for remote access and on-site commissioning.
